Things not to do in the cosplay community
1. Blackface
Blackfacing has been a huge problem lately in the cosplay community. This is when a person with lighter skin will darken their skin the look like a darker skinned character. People of color do not tollerate this all do to the history of blackface. Be happy with your skin color. There is no need to change it for cosplay or anything.
2. Bully others
This community is huge so of course bullying will appear at some point. There is no need to put down others because you feel as though you're superior to them. At the end of the day you're just a nerd in costume just like everyone else.
3. Mess with underage cosplayers (if youre 18+)
Ive seen it way too many times. Older cosplayers getting too involved with underage cosplayers. You need to understand that just because its in an anime doesnt mean you can do it too. YOU WILL GO TO JAIL!
4. Touch other cosplayers without permission
When with other cosplayers please ask permission before touching them or their props. Everyone needs their personal space. (GIVE THEM 50 FEET FAM)

Contact lens Do's and Don'ts
Ive been wearing circle lenses and contacts for a while now and ive seen many people make dangerous mistakes with the care and upkeep of their lenses that could ruin their sight. So here are some tips to help you prepare.
Do's:
~Keep eye drops with you to keep your eyes hydrated
~take the lenses out if they feel itchy or irritated
~keep your lens case and contact solution with you
~make sure the lens is on the right side before putting them in
~clean your hands before handling your lenses
~soak contacts for 8 hours when first getting them and also after you've stored them for long periods of time, before wearing
~watch youtube tutorials on how to properly open the lens bottle when first purchasing it.
Dont's:
-Use water to clean contacts
-wear them for more that 8 hours
-drop them and put them straight in your eye without cleaning them with solution
-let other people wear your contacts
-wear them inside out
-wear them after they have ripped
-wear them longer than their expiration date
-let them dry out
